Description

Ali's world turned upside down when the plague swept through, leaving only chaos in its wake. For eight long weeks, he has sought solace in an attic, surrounded by bits of a life once filled with laughter and companionship. As days blur into nights, the silence grows heavier, and the weight of the outside world presses down on him. His isolation starts to gnaw at the edges of his sanity, but the thought of venturing out into a lawless landscape terrifies him.

Just when Ali thinks he might be stuck in his lonely retreat forever, a noise from below shatters his delicate peace. Curiosity battles fear as he contemplates what—or who—he might find. As he grapples with the choice between staying hidden or stepping into the uncertain reality outside, he learns that survival might not just depend on staying alive but on connecting with the few who remain.

A disappointing read. There were some good parts but unfortunately they were overshadowed by the terrible portions. I don't see myself continuing the series.
