Description

Chloe Martin navigates the tumultuous waters of high school life, proudly wearing the badge of “band geek.” A world of music and camaraderie fills her days, yet her heart yearns for acceptance beyond the confines of her label. Each note she plays resonates with her true self, a spirited girl who longs to be seen for more than just her extracurricular activities. Her dedication to the band is unwavering, but beneath her confidence lies a vulnerability that she has yet to confront.

On the other side of the social spectrum stands Holden Reece, the quintessential popular jock. He seems to have it all—the friends, the athletic prowess, and the enviable lifestyle that captivates his peers. However, behind his charming facade, Holden grapples with the weight of expectations and a yearning for authenticity. His persona shields his deeper aspirations, and he finds himself questioning if his popularity truly defines him or if there is more to him waiting to be discovered.

When fate brings Chloe and Holden together, their worlds collide in unexpected ways. As they navigate the complexities of their identities, they each confront the limitations of their labels. Together, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, friendship, and maybe even love, proving that who they truly are transcends the boxes society has placed them in. Their story unfolds in a heartwarming exploration of connection, acceptance, and the beauty of being true to oneself.

Adam Lockwood, the man that you are! One of the best single mum books, hockey romance and just one of the best books I've ever read. Every future mmc will be compared against Adam.

The level of excitement I had for getting to Adam's book was quite high lol I absolutely loved him in the other books and knew he needed something better than Courtney. After everything she did to him I really wanted him to get his happy ending.I will say off the bat I didn't like that Adam lied to Rosie, I understood why, but I just knew it was going to blow up in his face. Glad she understood and was able to move past it. Just wish their first meeting after that was revealed wasn't with Bear needing surgery. That broke my heart. It was a little unrealistic that Adam would want Rosie to be the only one to touch Bear, knowing that she is still a student, and that there are more experienced and qualified people there. I don't believe with his dogs life on the line he would say that like that. He would want her to be with him through that difficult time, so other than that and the whole ridiculousness with Courtney those were the only parts I didn't particularly like. The way he met Rosie was perfect. Loved the interactions between Rosie and Bear and Adam and Piglet. The bonds they built together along with Connor were pulling at my heart strings all the wat through. So many AWW moments in this book.Adam and his work at the children's home was so perfect for him, his relationship with Lily was the sweetest. This book showcased more of the relationship between Adam and his friends/team mates. Just the scene where they dress up for Halloween as the spice girls had me crying laughing. This whole book had me in my feels so much. It was equal parts hilarious and emotional, in good way.The ending... OMG so freaking adorable.Could not recommend this book enough lol.
