View AllWhat a fantastic way to end this series!! Mr. Terupt not only had an impact on these students but on all of us readers as well. As the title says, in this book we have to say some goodbyes. But the way that Buyea writes this book, it doesn't feel like a goodbye but more of a "when I see you again." The students realize just what is most important to them and how sometimes things you don't want to change, change for the better. For any one who has ready the entire series, this book will bring lots of tears, smiles, and reminiscing! I had a feeling that something was going to happen with Mr. Terupt. He had to say goodbye at some point. But I think the way this book is written reminds people that saying goodbye to someone doesn't have to be so final. It really can be more of a "when I see you again." The bucket list of events was such a great idea and ended up meaning more to each of the students than just something to say goodbye. Raising awareness about diabetes and breast cancer really brought some heavy issues into a narrative that many younger students can understand. Honestly, Luke's event got me the most. I had an idea of what he might do but I wasn't sure. Then the cards and dice really threw me off. But I love the idea of this group going through their lives and looking at the calendar knowing that they are going to see each other again. I really wish Buyea would write another book with them like 20 years later on one of those dates...that would be interesting!
