3.5 spooky stars"Be the excel spreadsheet you wanted to see in the world."IT'S SPOOKY SEASON!! This was such a fun book, with multiple laugh-out-loud moments. The atmosphere, the characters (for the most part) and even the hotel as a character drew me in. The beginning was a bit slow, but after the main introductions, things picked up and kept me engaged (I read it in one night). The pop culture references were also a fun addition. I will say, I found both inner monologues to be a bit repetitive and a lack of communication is what I felt dragged the story down. I also found the resolution of the mystery a bit rushed and convenient. Moreover, I found myself sometimes more engaged with the mystery than the actual romance. Nevertheless, this was a fun, entertaining and engaging read. It's perfect for the fall season, and if you like laugh-out-loud romantic comedies with a spooky twist, this book won't disappoint.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
