After reading Logan's story, I was eager to begin the second book in the series. This book is about Heath, the eldest of the Wild brothers. I was intrigued when I read about him in book one, and I could not wait to find out more about him. Dr. Heath Wild is an orthopedic surgeon and a confirmed bachelor. Being in a committed relationship was not on his agenda. He had specific rules that he lived by and he expected the women he hooked up with to accept them. He never hooked up with women who lived in the same city has he did, and there was to be no exchanging of telephone number and surnames. It would be a night of sex with no strings attached. However, the unthinkable happened the night he met Allyson at a medical conference. He found himself breaking his rules. Allyson Jenner is a lab technician who loves volunteering at medical conferences. After surviving two failed relationships, she was not looking to get involved in anything permanent. She was interested in having fun and great sex without the complications that came with having a relationship. As a rule, Allyson avoided doctors as she thought they were arrogant and self-righteous. When she discovered that Heath was a doctor, it had her rethinking her views. The last thing she expected was that she would have fallen in love with a doctor. My opinions on this installment are mixed. I enjoyed this story, however, there were a few things that I had an issue with. I was hoping for more information on Heath. I was curious to know why he became a doctor. Also, it would have been good to know what impact the attack on his parents and ultimately the loss of his father had on him, and how he dealt with the aftermath. Although I enjoyed reading about Ally and Heath, I thought their romance lacked some amount of authenticity. Everything went so smoothly. They did have reservations as things were moving fast. However, based on their past relationships I was expecting that there would have been issues arising from this. The ending was beautiful. It brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. The story was entertaining and funny. The love scenes are passionate and full of sensuality. I thought Heath and Ally were perfect for each other. What I enjoyed was the fact that the story was not solely about sex. There was substance and meaning behind the story. Overall, this was a good read. Not my favourite of the series so far, but still an enjoyable read. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
