View AllLisa is a character from the previous book, Her Faithful Protector: A Navy SEAL Romance (Night Storm Book 6) and although you can read this book as a standalone, I think it is better to have read that book to get the full picture. Infact I recommend the whole series and the other SEAL series. I've Loved them all.The title of the book describes Raiden quite well. His patience, understanding and support that he gives Lisa during her struggle to deal with the PTSD from the Mexico kidnapping. Lisa, although struggling at the beginning of the book, is not a weak character, she's far from that, and I felt Ms O'Leary wrote about some quite triggering subjects with a sensitive but honest manner that showed that a person can overcome traumatic events with the support and encouragement of others. As Lisa and Raiden deal with the mental and physical consequences of the Mexico kidnapping, it seems things are not quite over from that time. I'm not going to talk about the plot, but it's definitely a page turner, and I read this in almost one sitting.I can't wait to read the next book in this series as it's about Max who has been a favorite character from this series.
