When the convicts hold an American doctor for ransom, the Navy SEAL unit Black Dawn is called in. (I have read the Black Dawn book which is about Carts too) Dr. Carys Adams is Sarah's friend and colleague they work together to save her friend and the other doctors captured. The story was a further look into the devastation of an earthquake in a poor country brings, the humanity and corruption that it brings to light. and Ms. O'Leary brings the characters and the situation to life with her words. I'd love to see one of her books made into a film or tv series.
