The narrative follows the struggles of Welsh princes as they attempt to reclaim their power in a world dominated by brute force and betrayal.

Amidst the backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty and fierce battles, the lives of these princes intertwine with those of their families and allies, revealing the complexities of love, duty, and sacrifice. Each character is driven by a personal quest, whether it be for glory, revenge, or redemption. As the stakes rise, the very essence of Wales hangs in the balance, challenging the protagonists to confront not only their enemies but also their deepest fears and desires. Absolutely fantastic historical novel. I loved how realistic it felt. I loved how she didn't try to sugarcoat things and leave the unpleasant things out. And yet still made the character sympathetic.
