View AllIt's got more mature themes and wording that the previous series. A tonal shift to something darker but not overall heartbreaking for each character, which is something I had to watch out for because this author makes her characters SUFFER. Overall the mystery that's in my world building has me coming back for more.
Okay I took breaks for holidays and because I’m lazy. But the start to the Liveship Traders was 9/10. Hobb did it again, I was a little worried leaving Fitz to join a new cast of characters for a couple books but she made it simple. Never have I read an author that can get you attached to characters as quickly as Hobb does. Pirates. Serpents. Betrayal. And the Vestrit Family. 9/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.9
The first book in a seafaring fantasy trilogy that George R. R. Martin has described as “even better than the Farseer Trilogy—I didn’t think that was possible.”
