First story Magic Dreams by Ilona Andrews An interesting read, Dali is a bit different from other shifter characters I've read, being a white tiger, you would think she'd be bad ass... Well she was but, she's a vegetarian and hates violence 😅. Although she's willing to defend those She cares about, being a healer and magic user she used her smarts too ro figure out what was happening. Now onto the male lead... The Alpha. Dali has a secret (or not so) crush on -Jim.Well he's got himself cursed and while Dali is working out what's going on, and how to fix the curse, she gets to spend time with him... Anyways... check out the story for yourself. It was a really good read, for a novella it was rich in world building and setting the scene. I was drawn into the storyline and was immersed to the end. A very strong start to the collection in Hexed. And I'm going to find more books of the series it's set in soon.Second story Yasmine Galenorn comes "Ice Shards," Finnish house sprite Iris embarks on a journey to the frozen Northlands to confront the shadow of her former lover who haunts her dreams, and to discover, once and for all, whether she actually committed the horrible crime for which she was cast out...This was a good story, I've read some of the other Otherworld books in the past, and I enjoyed this one too. Iris may be small but she's mighty, she was willing to defend her friends, face her past and trust her instincts. I devoured the story and it got me wanting to read more from the series again.Third storyDOUBLE HEXED by Allyson James We're introduced to Janet who runs a hotel in the southwestern town of Magellan, Janet and her plumber think they are dealing with a leaky faucet in room number 6 but a terrifying warning: You are doomed. Appears on the mirror, scaring the occupants out of the hotel and that's only the beginning of the issues... as it seems someone set a powerful hex. Which traps Janet in the hotel with her friends and her lover, Mick, a biker with the power to shift into a dragon—and the power to calm the raging storm magic inside her. It was an exciting storyline, with tension, while the group tried to cancel out the Hex, mostly backfiring and causing a number of problems. It brings in a number of interesting characters and was entertaining, I especially like Coyote. I will find more books in the series to read.Fourth storyBLOOD DEBT by Anna Strong Read in the compilation Hexed, this was probably the least favorite, but if I found more book's in the library I probably would give them a go. I did feel like I jumped into a mid season episode where I didn't quite understand what was happening, but the storyline evolved so you know what is happening in the present and you get a brief backstory 2/3 through. The entity's judging Anna were interesting, Samuel was creepy but he got his just ending. It was a solid 3 star read
