Description

Tokiais pirmais užhipnotizuoto berniuko žodžiais prasideda stingdantis psichologinio detektyvo košmaras. Po žiaurių šeimos skerdynių Stokholmo priemiestyje liko vienas liudininkas – penkiolikametis sūnus Josefas Ekas. Jo būklė neleidžia apklausti, todėl komisaras Jonas Lina mato vienintelę išeitį ekstremalioje situacijoje – ieškoti hipnotizuotojo pagalbos. Erikas Marija Barkas jau dešimt metų neužsiima šia praktika, tačiau padaro išimtį Josefui, tikėdamasis, jog taip išgelbės dingusią jo seserį Eveliną. Kai hipnotizuotojas sulaužo sau duotą priesaiką ir pasineria į vaikino sąmonę, išaiškėja tiesa, kur kas labiau šokiruojanti, nei jis galėjo įsivaizduoti. Ir paties gydytojo šeimai iškilusi grėsmė priverčia Eriką sugrįžti į siaubingą savo praeitį.

If I had considered the movie, I probably wouldn't have given it more than two stars, even though the film features continuous flashbacks that might keep the viewer in suspense. But since it is a book, which in my personal opinion is pleasant and fluid to read, I am going to give it five stars.

Despite this, without taking anything away from the intellectuals or monologues of Italian figures such as: Roberto Bolaño (though Chilean, often grouped in these literary contexts), Giampiero Mughini, Massimo Cacciari, Roberto Saviano, etc., throughout the writing of the book there is an abundant use of dialogue: a fairly reasoned discourse that would allude to a book written in the first person. Instead, the duo that forms the pseudonym Lars Kepler confirms once again their affinity for working together and as a single subject.
