Hook, Line, and Sinker

This was so overdone, they kept denying each other and it got so fucking annoying.

This is the second book in the Bellinger Sisters series by Tessa Bailey. While the first book focused on Piper and Brendan's love story, this second book focuses on her sister Hannah Bellinger and Fox Thornton's love story. I absolutely loved this book. 'It Happened One Summer' had me hooked from the first page and I loved Piper and Brendan's story so much but even in that book, you could feel the connection between Hannah and Fox as soon as they appeared in the same chapter so I just KNEW I was going to love this book even more! I loved Hannah as a character. It's very rare that a main character doesn't do something to annoy the hell out of me but I couldn't fault Hannah at all. Yes, she struggled with confidence issues at the beginning of the story but who doesn't from time to time? Fox was amazing. He was charming, witty and all round a pretty good main character. Sometimes Friends-to-Lovers can be a bit hit or miss for me but Tessa Bailey has won me over with this one! The way Hannah and Fox connected through their music and their insecurities made for a perfect friendship that turned them into a formidable team together. It was so genuine and emotional, I loved it.

They didn't have a break up that lasted like 20 chapters so that is pretty easy to read. When I read the ending I was only planning on reading a few chapters but then I needed to see what was going to happen to their story.
The epilogue was also really cute because I always love seeing the happy families living together.
I was not very happy with how everyone treated fox because he slept around and I liked that a lot of the story was the stigma and insecurities that were on a guy which isn't usually touched upon as often in books and shows. However, Hannah pulled him out over and over again showing that they are truly soul mates and the best thing to ever happen to each other.
I don't know how real these stories could be and if these types of love stories properly exist but they are still a hope and a beautiful escape if not and I will take nothing more with the beauty I get when reading and the joy and sorrow when the book is finished and out back on the shelf for another time to read.
