Description

In 2029, global warming is continuing, with or without human assistance. The patches of warm water along which hurricanes move have extended and are to be found farther north than before. In October 2029 these patches unite, making a path all the way to Europe and to Glasgow, bringing with them the first true hurricane , small but fast, to reach the continent , and thus all the more devastating in its impact. In the unsuspecting city, Margaret, Stephen and Tom live their lives. Margaret is no longer young and financially secure, but is being bullied in her office to make way for the next generation. Tom is a qualified lawyer but hates the life, and is working in a pub while he tries to find a plot for the Great Glasgow Novel.Stephen has been given a death sentence by his
doctor, but decides to Make A Difference before he commits suicide spectacularly from the top of a
Glasgow building. The impact of Hurricane Sigma on the city will alter all their lives as it becomes Hurricane Glasgow.
