Amid whispers of betrayal and the weight of her lineage, Bryn discovers that love can be as perilous as the enigmatic powers she harbors. As she forms alliances with unlikely companions, their shared quest will test their strength and resolve. They soon realize that trust is a fragile commodity in a realm governed by treachery and ambition.

Bryn's journey is not just one of self-discovery; it is a fight against time to safeguard her kingdom from impending doom. With challenges that reshape her understanding of friendship and power, every decision she makes leads her closer to either salvation or ruin. The stakes are high, and the icy winds of change are rapidly approaching, threatening to engulf everything she holds dear.

As the delicate balance between love and duty hangs in the air, Bryn must summon the courage to confront her fears and embrace the truth of her heritage. With the fate of her world resting on her shoulders, she embarks on a path filled with unexpected twists, and realizes that true strength comes from within. In a realm where every secret has the power to ascend or collapse a kingdom, Bryn will discover what it truly means to be ice kissed.

The second installment in this series was more enlightening than the first, which was mainly focused on putting the players in place and world building. you can read my review for book 1 here In book 2 we get to know the characters a bit more, we visit Skojare and the majestic halls of the crystal palace where the Royal court hide a secret that could destroy what is left of the Skojare way.Bryn has never been accepted being half Kanin and half Skojare, but for once this helps her when she is sent as an envoy to help the King of Skojare.Bryn and her boss, Ridley are sent to investigate what has happened to the Skojare Queen, and this close contact ends up bringing into focus the attraction that they have towards each other. But when they get to the Crystal Palace, they realise there is more happening than they were first led to believe and as they begin to unravel the truth, we find ourselves with more questions than answers, and finally they get sent back to Kanin without resolving the disappearance of the Queen. This frustrates Bryn but with things heating up in the Kanin kingdom she has no choice than to follow her Kings orders, until she has a vision...She then sets out to find the Skojare Queen and bring her safely back to Kanin so she can finally answer the questions about whether Konstantin was involved in her disappearance.I am not going to hash out the full story, but I will say that there is a lot more going on in this book, I couldn't put it down, and thankfully it didn't end abruptly like book 1, but rather leads you to knowing that Book 3 will be full of action as the conclusion and hopefully the Agenda of Konstantin is finally brought to light. So I wait on baited breath for the conclusion, and this series will join my Tryelle collection on my Favorite YA paranormal shelf.Ebooks are great for convenience (I mean you can wipe off spilt food off your kindle!) but I will NEVER loose the pull of owning and re reading my favourite series in Paper Book form.
