DNF @29%At first, it was a soft DNF because I wasn't in the right headspace to fully appreciate it. But as time passed, I felt even more disconnected and I felt the pressure to actually finish it but in the end I decided to hard DNF. I enjoyed the first book but my biggest issue with it was the pacing. I felt like it was too slow for my taste. The romance was actually really good and the ending made me want to know what happens next. Unfortunately, like the first book, I found the rhythm pretty boring. Nothing very impactful happened even though its supposed to. When I tried to read it again, I felt very confused and weirdly not caring. As much as I love the romance between our main characters, I felt like it wasn't enough for me to continue reading. Please don't let this deter you from reading this book. Just because it wasn't for me doesn't mean it won't be for you ❤

If this disappoints me, I’m canceling this year!!!!I guess this year is not cancelled because it was delivered!!This was a ride just like the first one but even wilder.It's hard writing reviews for books that I absolutely love but easy to write reviews for books that I don't like so this review is not going to be long. lolEternal Ruin pretty much takes place four days after the end of Immortal Dark as Kidan deals with the fallout of her sister coming to Uxlay and to the house.You really drive deeper into the Lore of the Houses and how you can master them to change the law, the politics of the Uxlay, and the more about the artifacts.You really drive deeper into the characters and their motive as well with different pov besides Kidan.June is a real one and she really grew on me. Kidan needs to square up with Slen. I just love how Tigest was waving the flag all through the book about Slen. I knew it was coming but it still shocked me. I need Kidan and Yos to be happy. I don't know how it's going to happen but I need it to happen.I just know I need Infernal Vow in my hand comes this November.
