I wsd expecting to like this book a bit more than I did, but that's because I have insane expectations from this author.The premise was unlike anything I've ever read and it sounded so fun. And it was fun. Two people who are amazing and passionate about their work. I loved the yearning and the banter was delicious. I actually laughed out loud at certain lines. The spice was aslo soooo hot. As a woman working in a STEM field, I felt the representation was very good, unfortunately. What took me out of the story a bit was the Georgianna storyline. I understood why Quincy wanted to go chasing that storm, but the entire experience while Georgianna was active just felt a bit stupid for two people who are supposed to be as smart as they are. But that might just be a me problem.

Immediate yes. Think Twister vibes with romance at the center. This was my first read in this niche subgenre, and I’m officially obsessed—I desperately hope there are more books like this out there. The world and setting were immersive, the writing engaging, and I genuinely felt like I was right there chasing storms, sweating through the Florida heat, and sharing cozy moments with a tight-knit group of friends. As someone who grew up in the Midwest and a small town, so much of this story felt familiar and easy to visualize.I also loved the science-forward elements. The meteorology details added depth without feeling overwhelming, and I appreciated getting a glimpse into how vital these roles are—especially during natural disasters.The characters truly stole the show. Quincy is an FMC you can’t help but root for—smart, determined, and resilient, yet realistically imperfect. I loved seeing both her strength and her vulnerability. Sebastian complements her beautifully, helping mend those small cracks while allowing Quincy to do the same for him. Their debates and banter were a highlight—because nothing beats a love interest who can keep up intellectually.
