In a world forever altered by trauma and loss, Ruby navigates the bleak landscape of her existence, filled with shadows of the past and the haunting memories of those who didn't make it. Stripped of her childhood and forced into a grim reality, she struggles to reconcile her inner turmoil with the fight for survival among her fellow survivors. As they face relentless threats from a government that sees them as nothing more than dangerous anomalies, Ruby's resolve is put to the ultimate test.
The journey leads Ruby to confront not only external dangers but also her own overwhelming grief and guilt. As she grapples with the ramifications of her powers and the role they play in shaping their futures, she must find a way to harness her abilities without losing more of herself in the process. Each decision she makes carries heavy consequences, impacting not only her fate but that of her friends as well.
Hope flickers in the darkness, but time is running out. With the clock ticking and enemies closing in, Ruby realizes that true strength lies in vulnerability and connection. She learns that facing the truth of her past is the only way to forge a path toward a brighter future, even if it means confronting the hardest truths about loss and the cost of survival.

This series has officially ruined me. I was so emotional after reading and finishing this book. And some Death in this book made me cry and that's something because i hardly get sad and teary eyed while reading a book or watching a movie. This series was really interesting . I loved the plot. I loved the writing style.i enjoyed every second of it . And the fact that the rebels were teenager and they were so so so strong and fought so bravely make me want to try harder as well. This series were really new to me And i did not get bored of reading it. So i'm sure it deserves more than 5 stars but that's all i can give.
