Interminable Longing

For every convention bucking Molly Bolt in Rita Mae Brown'S classic 1973 novel Rubyfruit Jungle, there are dozens of Alice Jones in Interminable Longing who, after college and the radical feminist movement of the 70'S, had babies and got married. As she turns fifty, Alice awakens to a startling obsession that prompts her to get in shape and complete a three-day walk for breast cancer. Vowing to THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE, she must once again choose between convention and her own, Interminable longing.
