In It's Great to Be a Superstar, Frieda reports Snoopy to the Head Beagle for failing to chase rabbits, but he comes away unscathed and is appointed Head Beagle himself, with all its attendant paperwork and headaches. Grandma Van Pelt offers Linus a very tempting incentive to give up his security blanket, and Charlie Brown finally gets the chance to meet his favorite baseball player, the fabled Joe Shlabotnik, but is once again doomed to disappointment. No fan of "Peanuts," though, will be disappointed by this great collection of strips published in 1969 and 1970.
