It's not summer without you

This book kinda made me cry!! ( I cried more than I did in the show )... Other wise, it was a great read!

Absolutely love this series!

Character Thoughts👯‍♀️TaylorI still don’t like Taylor. Looking back, I can understand her intentions in some moments, but wow–she could’ve handled things so differently. I’m still not her biggest fan. 👧 BellyBelly frustrated me in this book. She continuously noticed that Conrad is acting differently–quiet, distant, clearly not himself–but shows very little empathy toward him. She “chases” him but doesn’t actually help him. She doesn’t offer support, just criticism. It was disappointing to see. 😤 JeremiahIt’s painfully clear in this book that Jeremiah is deeply jealous of Belly and Conrad’s relationship. It feels like he wants to be with Belly just to keep her away from Conrad. That’s not brotherly love–it’s possessive and selfish. His actions were not only unfair to Belly, but to his grieving brother, too. It felt malicious at times, which was hard to overlook. General ThoughtsI’m still completely baffled by the timeline of events. Belly says she loves Conrad, yet she ends things with him (while implying that he wanted to break up), and very quickly gets with his brother. Her feelings for Jeremiah seemed to come out of nowhere–they were non-existent before. I just don’t understand how either of them could do that. Conrad, meanwhile, is going through so much. His grief, guilt, and emotional isolation were painful to read. And yet, no one–not even Belly–really helped him. He was drowning, and everyone just watched. ⭐ Final Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)While the Emotional tone was strong, the timeline felt unrealistic, and the character choices (especially Belly and Jeremiah) left me confused and disappointed. There were impactful moments, but also many missed opportunities for real emotional growth. ❝Quotes❞• “That’s because you’re coldhearted.” “For everyone else, maybe. But not for you.” • I didn’t want my love to fade away one day like an old scar. I wanted it to burn forever.• “If you like Jeremiah, why are you wearing my necklace?” “You know what it means.”
