Jenny Knight, director of the Cherry Valley Retirement Home, works hard to make her residents happy. But this Christmas it's difficult pretending to be joyful. Still smarting over a failed romance, Jenny just wants Christmas to be over. It gets no easier when Parker McAllister, the son of one of her residents, turns up -- with an enormous tree, and intent on spreading good cheer. Parker finds her ravishing, and despite her resistance, shows her how special the season can be.
