It was a good book

Here's the thing. I felt dirty reading this book. I really don't want to read about kids having sex in detail. Also this book could have been half as long. God it just repeats so much. Definitely not my favorite. But I am invested in the plot so I will try to finish the series.

A good ending for the two lovers Shannon and Johnny.
To be honest a book has never made me cry for 100 pages. Had to make three breaks before I could finish this book.

I put off reading this series for so long — I was terrified it was overhyped. I hadn’t picked up a book in over a year because, well… life. But when I finally decided to dive back in, I didn’t expect that the hype wasn’t even enough.I laughed. I screamed. I kicked my feet. And I cried uncontrollably. The emotions these books stirred in me are almost impossible to put into words. Maybe it hit so hard because I was around the same age as the characters in 2005 and I recognized so much of my own youth in the background. Or maybe it’s just Chloe Walsh’s writing — the way she crafts these moments and side characters with such depth, I now want full novels about every single one of them. This might honestly be on its way to becoming my favorite series of all time. And I’ve only just started Book 3.Something about this story is different. It hits different. And I’m 100% here for it.I can’t wait (well, I can, because I’m scared sh*tless of what’s coming) to see where the rest of this series goes. But for now?A solid 5-star read through and through.

This duology man.... I love Johnny and Shannon. Once I was locked in I couldn't put it down. This book earned its pages too, nothing felt like filler just to reach a page count, all of it was so good!

Rating: 4.25 stars.“I’m not in your corner, Shannon. I’m standing right beside you.”I swear Shannonjohnny has me in an eternal choke hold and I’m not even mad about it. these books didn’t just alter my brain chemistry, they rewired it, like nothing else will ever compare. The way binding & keeping 13 drag you through every raw, painful, beautiful emotion?? unmatched. I live for that kind of emotional wreckage that still somehow heals you at the same time, and this series delivers it in full force. My chest physically hurts when I think about everything they went through, but I also feel this weird comfort knowing how much love they carry for each other. masterpieces. absolute masterpieces. I’m devastated that we won’t get their POV anymore, but you already KNOW I’ll be clinging to every crumb of them in the next books like my life depends on it.➛ Shannon (like the river):
