Kierkegaard Studies Yearbook, 2006

In light of Hans Christian Andersena (TM)s 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of Kierkegaarda (TM)s death, the main section of Yearbook 2006 is devoted to the relationship between Andersen and Kierkegaard. Among the articles is an essay by a leading practitioner of Conceptual Art, Joseph Kosuth. The Yearbook also contains three previously unknown letters. The first, from 1857, is from SA,ren Kierkegaarda (TM)s brother-in-law to his older brother, Peter Christian. The second letter, from 1866, is from Kierkegaarda (TM)s former fiancA(c)e, Regine Schlegel, nA(c)e Olsen, to his nephew Henrik Lund. The third letter, written the day after Kierkegaarda (TM)s funeral in 1855, is from theologian and politician Peter Christian Zahle. It contains new information about Kierkegaarda (TM)s period of illness at Frederika (TM)s Hospital, his funeral at the Church of Our Lady, and his burial at Assistens Cemetery.
