When economic crisis strikes the great nation of Atlantea, the President and his Chief Economic Advisor decide to accelerate the nation's recovery by following, in meticulous detail, the advice from Dr. Paul Krugman's economics blog. The story begins with a traditional Keynesian observation, "It makes only a little difference what the government spends your money on, they can always make up for spending badly by spending more." Through the eyes of our on-the-scene narrator, we watch as the economic miracle unfolds.

A bibliography is included with pointers to the works of Keynes, Krugman, Hayek, and others. Part of the goal of these references is to show the reader that some of the most extreme parts of the story are, alas, based on the real assertions of real economists.
