Description

In the heart of 18th century Egypt, Nahri navigates a world woven with magic, mysteries, and her own skepticism about the supernatural. While she possesses a unique ability to heal—one she has always assumed was mere luck—the whispers of the arcane begin to call her toward a fate she never anticipated. As ancient forces stir, Nahri finds herself entangled in an epic that transcends her humble beginnings, unveiling secrets of her lineage that could alter the course of history.

The narrative unveils a rich tapestry of culture, intrigue, and the profound struggles of identity, as Nahri grapples with the duality of her existence. With every step, she encounters enigmatic figures and unearths the truths hidden beneath the shimmering sands of time, compelling her to embrace the magic she has long denied. Her journey becomes not only a quest for self-discovery but also a confrontation with the profound legacies of the past.

Although the beginning was slow by the end I was invested in the story. I'll be picking up the sequel immediately.
