View AllIt would be a one star but at least the main character wasnt a 2 stone soaking wet white woman that was weak but at the same time insanely strong.
It was quite good, but there were two glaring issues that I personally hate very much that knocked down the star rating for this book. The first is that this book is in First-Person and is Single-POV. I can usually take one or the other if it's done well, however, both at the same time is a big ask for me. There were a few moments in the book that I got bored listening to this insolent princess. I really needed a break with a different personality. But of course, there wasn't one. It took me quite a long time to finish this book because I would get bored and set it down for months at a time. The story was interesting, but the personality of the only MC leaves much to be desired. My second issue is that the book ends on a cliff-hanger, and it's not even an HFN ending. So....that sucks.
✨️Audiobook review✨️ King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St. Clair⭐️⭐️.5Well, this was honestly so bad. Generally I like a bit of plot with my spice. Whatever plot was in this did not hold up, it didn't make sense and didn't really come to any fruition. It felt like there was a lot of repetition, and at times I zoned out through boredom. I liked the characters in the book however, especially Adrian. I liked the premise of the story, unfortunately it just missed the mark. The narration was okay, but its the first one I've listened to where I can hear the breathing and other noises in the background, which could be a little distracting.
