-> 3.5 starsI was disappointed in this book sadly. I gave Butcher & Blackbird 5 stars, I think. One of my favourite aspects of this series was the murders and they very few and far between in this installment and no where near as good.The plot line felt thrown in and barely explored with a let down of a finisher.However, I did like the couple and the romance. But thats not saying much as I don't enjoy straight up romance books.However, I've heard good things about book 3 so fingers crossed.-> 3.5 stars
Can’t say I enjoyed this book. The plot was eah for me and I don’t mind the forced marriage trope but I felt like a lot happened that wasn’t needed and wanted more to happen with the Phantom. The sex scenes are long and drawn out in my opinion but hey maybe some people like that. I wanted to DNF when the dog go hurt thankfully the dog is still alive. Also kinda annoyed that I preordered the third book now that I have read this one.
3,5⭐Opinión impopular, pero me gustó más este que el primero, me gustó más la pareja principal. Eso sí, me habría gustado que hubiera más capítulos desde la perspectiva del villano, porque sentí que dejaron todaaaa esa trama para el final.
4.5 STARS3.5 spiceWOW.I have no words, that was so goodI was a bit hesitant going into this cos I was seeing people saying that is wasn't as good as B&B but genuinely...I think i preferred L&L over B&B....Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because it took me AGES to get through it, even as an audiobook (OMG THE AUDIOBOOK WAS INSANE BTW!!) and unfortunately, i think I've forgotten the start of the book cos i started it so long ago :(
I admit part of the 3⭐ is probably because I listened to the audiobook. Please, anyone that's in charge of making audiobooks, don't ever do something like THIS again. The singing? The moaning? The growling? 😖 The story itself was interesting enough, if a bit forgettable. The spicy scenes! 🔥🔥🔥 I gave this one full extra star for the bonus scene!
The opening scene and ensuing misunderstanding and everything that folds out after is wonderful. Also included: a broody and bossy Lachlan and a resin table made of dead bad guy.
De modo geral, o livro até que é bom. Teve um romance com química e personagens legais, porém não foi melhor que o primeiro.
O enredo não me prendeu tanto e não morri de amores pelo casal.
Teve cenas boas dos dois juntos, mas simplesmente não me encantou igual o Rowan com a Sloane.
E eu acho que o terceiro também não vai superar o primeiro.
Sem contar que estou com receio de ler o terceiro porque o Fionn já amou alguém antes da protagonista e eu não curto isso.

I was looking forward to reading the next installment of the Ruinous Love series. I didn't mind exploring other characters. I don't like the lack of the characters from the first one in this one though. I get that the main characters in this need to be developed but they were in the first so why not in this one it makes the most sense seeing as the storyline is all connected. Other than that and that I didn't feel as connected to these characters as I did the first it was still a fun read. I just personally prefer the first but I would definitely recommend this one to people as well.

Brynne did not disappoint. I think the Ruinous Love Trilogy will be by favorite series for a while. Lark is absolutely hilarious and the crafting genius 😂 if you have read the first one you know the puppy is fine
