-> 3.5 starsI was disappointed in this book sadly. I gave Butcher & Blackbird 5 stars, I think. One of my favourite aspects of this series was the murders and they very few and far between in this installment and no where near as good.The plot line felt thrown in and barely explored with a let down of a finisher.However, I did like the couple and the romance. But thats not saying much as I don't enjoy straight up romance books.However, I've heard good things about book 3 so fingers crossed.-> 3.5 stars
Can’t say I enjoyed this book. The plot was eah for me and I don’t mind the forced marriage trope but I felt like a lot happened that wasn’t needed and wanted more to happen with the Phantom. The sex scenes are long and drawn out in my opinion but hey maybe some people like that. I wanted to DNF when the dog go hurt thankfully the dog is still alive. Also kinda annoyed that I preordered the third book now that I have read this one.

This one was absolutely fun to read. The characters were well developed, and the stor,y with its plo,t matches perfectly. Lachlan is one of the best husbands everrrrrr. He saw her favorite movie only for herHe took her to sleep sessions so she could sleep better And he tried his hardest to be the man she deserved and tried to gain her forgiveness. that one thing that happened at the end of the book was a clif hanger i didn't see it coming.
4.5 STARS3.5 spiceWOW.I have no words, that was so goodI was a bit hesitant going into this cos I was seeing people saying that is wasn't as good as B&B but genuinely...I think i preferred L&L over B&B....Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because it took me AGES to get through it, even as an audiobook (OMG THE AUDIOBOOK WAS INSANE BTW!!) and unfortunately, i think I've forgotten the start of the book cos i started it so long ago :(
I admit part of the 3⭐ is probably because I listened to the audiobook. Please, anyone that's in charge of making audiobooks, don't ever do something like THIS again. The singing? The moaning? The growling? 😖 The story itself was interesting enough, if a bit forgettable. The spicy scenes! 🔥🔥🔥 I gave this one full extra star for the bonus scene!
The opening scene and ensuing misunderstanding and everything that folds out after is wonderful. Also included: a broody and bossy Lachlan and a resin table made of dead bad guy.

Brynne did not disappoint. I think the Ruinous Love Trilogy will be by favorite series for a while. Lark is absolutely hilarious and the crafting genius 😂 if you have read the first one you know the puppy is fine
2.2 ~ 2 Honestly, I don't even know why I read this book after the disappointment of the first. I think it is safe to say, I don't like so much gore and so little romance.
