Like most people, I'd grown up hearing stories about fated mates. At almost thirty years old, I finally decided to leave my small hometown in search of my own. When a new server starts working at the club, I know I've found him. Wren is timid, and everything about him screams that he needs someone to take care of him. Fate works in strange ways. My near death experience finally put my dad in jail where he belongs, so I move my mom halfway across the country to be closer to her cousin. My mom is dying. I'm finally coming to terms with that. I want the best for her, and so I find myself working as a server at a local strip club. What I don't expect is Koa. I'm drawn to him, the words fated mate circling my head. I don't want to keep my distance, but I'm scared. When things go wrong, though, Koa is right there to catch me and I can't help but trust him. I just have to hope I don't regret it.
