Considering Holly Black is one of my favourite authors, I definitely expected something a bit better.The first 75 pages of this book almost had me giving up, but because it was written by Holly Black, I decided to at least give it to the half way mark. Thankfully, that was a good choice as I started to enjoy it by then, and the binged the rest of the book. There is a lot I could say about this book and why it wasn't as good as I was hoping. The other reviews have it all basically covered though. What I will say, is switching from her YA books to this adult debut, her writing suddenly felt convoluted. Like she had to over explain and add a lot of pointless details and weird world building for her book to be classed as 'adult'. The second half of the book got better though and I am hoping that the next book will be even better.I will be giving book 2 a chance.
¿Para cuándo la segunda parte? ¡Lo deja en un punto muy interesante!Sus personajes moralmente grises son muy interesantes, y tiene una protagonista delincuente a la que a veces cuesta tragar, la verdad. También a veces me hacía un poco de lío con los nombres y los hechos.A pesar del lenguaje vulgar, no se abusa de ello y eso me ha gustado mucho.
