L'ombra dello Shōgun

Hiinahime, the girl adorned with a Nō mask, embarks on a journey of freedom after years of confinement in a secluded mansion. As she steps into a world filled with intrigue and uncertainty, she discovers a landscape rich with the shadows of political machinations and the weight of her own past. With the delicate beauty of the Japanese setting juxtaposed against the turmoil of her heart, every moment becomes a dance between hope and despair.

Throughout her travels, Hiinahime meets an array of characters, each more enigmatic than the last. Their stories intertwine with her own, revealing secrets and alliances that threaten to upend everything she thought she knew. The delicate balance of power shifts under the influence of a mysterious shōgun, whose machinations ripple through the lives of those around him.

As she navigates through this treacherous terrain, Hiinahime grapples with the mask she wears—both literally and metaphorically. It becomes a symbol of her struggle for identity and agency in a world that seeks to define her. The quest for liberation isn't just from the confines of her past but also from the expectations and roles imposed by society, making her journey as much an exploration of self as it is an escape from her captors.
