I'd play you at the five."~˗ˏˋ˗ˏ 4.5 🌟 3.5 🌶~‼️ABSOLUTELY CHECK TRIGGERS BEFORE READING. ‼️This was a story I was wary of given all i had heard of it. And while it was definitely a heavy story, this ended so beautifully. I will say, the DV scenes and the frequency had me on edge, genuinely (though I am severely anxious, so it wouldn't usually be a massive ask) and my hackles rising. (It was well over 200 pages until things cleared up, in case someone wants to know, because i knew i did.)But back to regularly scheduled talk. August was so dsmn sweet. This man was a green flag, or as close as he could get. I swear, the worst thing he did in the first half was ask for a kiss before he knew Caleb was her boyfriend. Other than that, this man was a blessing. Iris was so strong. My darling girl, I don't think I could've gone through what she did and survived. Even with a little baby like Sarai attached to me. (I'm so sorry if I end up with kids as they see this! Love you!) Lotus… love her as well. She didn't even blink when push came to shove. And that is as good as gold in my eyes. I don't regret reading this, but I'm unsure it'll be a re-read unless I'm in a simply lovely headspace. Maybe I'll talk about my own background with my therapist in regard to this.
eu tirei o dia literalmente pra ler, e chorar, esse livro!
