Malice

A bit of a slow start, but stick with it. Starts to gather pace about 1/2 way through then doesn't let up. A beautifully created world, and character's you care about.

Phenomenal book, can't wait to pick up the next.

Malice is classic epic fantasy at its best. It loses half a star due to the very slow beginning, but I guess that was necessary for the world building. I will continue with the series and I will also read all the books by John Gwynne at some point, although I’m in no rush.

Disappointing read after reading so many positive reviews. There were so many characters with similar sounding names from different places which was confusing. It picked up towards the end but not enough to convince me to read the next in the series.
