I read this as a standalone. Only to find out on here that it was part of a series. Ugh I hate it when that happens! However this books was a cute little book that I really can't be mad. It read like a standalone and now I think I would be disappointed if there wasn't more. Confused yet?! Yeah so am I.... You get used to it. Anyway back to this book. I was able to read this in a few hours. Our FMC a witch named Cassandra, has come out of a rather turbulent relationship with her Fae Ex when she was Pregnant with her Daughter Paige. He has just come back into their lives and he is making it not ready for her. And this is where the book starts. She has a rare weekend free and is dropping off her daughter at her parents house. She got Convinced by her friends to go to a chairlift speed dating session. And that goes terrible as you can imagine. Honestly it's awkward and cringey and the author made that come through really well. She gives up and meets the resident ski patrol werewolf MMC Valen after having a tumble. And things just go from there. There are a few tropes in this book. Such as Age Gap, Grumpy Sunshine, Fated Mates just to name a few.Overall I enjoyed this book... Enough to leave a review!
