Monsters, beasts, cryptids, mythical creatures of old. All are remarkably different from each other, but they have one commonality. They’re always on the sidelines. Never is the imp the main character in the story. Or the troll labeled as a villain. Never are these creatures the main characters. They rarely get the girl or boy. Never does the story follow them and describe their journey. It’s always the princess trapped in the tower or the prince slaying the hoard of beasts to save the princess. But what if the tables turned and the mischievous monsters got to run the show? What if they got to be the ones to fall in love? To save the day?
