Sanderson, I cannot believe you left me like that. I actually hit the rewind button to see if I had somehow missed something. Otherwise everything about this was as amazing as I had hoped and expanded the world and did all the awesome Brandon Sanderson things I hoped it would. I laughed, I teared up, I was unnerved, I am ready for more.
*potential spoilers if you have not finished Starsight*I love when a sequel is just as compelling as the first in the series. Starsight falls into that category of being just as good if not better than Skyward. I thoroughly enjoyed getting back to Spensa’s story and her world. The spying and mission in the world of the superiority was captivating and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I love seeing old characters (especially M-Bot) and meeting new characters (particularly the kitsen). Getting a small taste of romance made it all the better. But my absolute favorite thing about this book was watching Spensa’s development in seeing the "enemy" from a new point of view. Leading me to one of my favorite lines from the book;“They were people. They were all just…people. With strange carapaces or odd life cycles. They lived and they loved. I think it’s going to be awhile before I’m over this book…
Some of the best space action sequences I've read. <spoiler>I'm so mad about poor m-bot's ship</spoiler>, but I love their personality development. The new characters were interesting too.
