Momma Loved Us This I Know

This story relates the true accounts of the lives of a mother and her three little children. It takes place in Oklahoma and Texas, starting in 1939 when the oldest boy was born February 10th, 1939. His name was Clifton, but his nickname was Butch. His sister and brother, Lynette and Richard, were nicknamed Sister and Buddy. All three were born in poverty to a mother who was nineteen when she had Clifton in Oklahoma. This story relates how, even through extreme hardship and abuse, her love helped them survive.
