Description

Opposites attract in this small town omegaverse monster romance when Morgan Foxglove discovers the grumpy werewolf contracted to be her bodyguard is also her fated mate.

The family curse was supposed to just be a story. But after returning to her quaint home town for her grandmother’s funeral, Morgan discovers that not only is the curse real—her inheritance has been signed over to an alphahole werewolf in exchange for his protection.

Sylvan is bound to be Morgan’s bodyguard by a contract no amount of magic can unravel. It’s too bad he cannot stand the helpless witch. Her spells are useless. She whines about the fur he leaves around the house every time he shifts. She’s constantly running into things and injuring herself. The little witch is bound to drive him wild.

But now, Morgan and Sylvan have no choice but to spend nine months in the same gothic manor together to complete the terms of the deal. Nine months of protection, nine months of being knotted together by fate. To make matters worse, the longer they live together, they discover a problem more concerning than the danger lurking around town or their ridiculous arrangement.

The grumpy werewolf and wicked witch just might love each other.

Another absolute banger from Clio. We are so back! I loved their take on shifter omegaverse. Everyone having to go through a heat/rut on the full moon was really interesting. Not something I've ever seen. I want to know more about the world and how the different magicks work. I am a banter girly and the banter was bantering. The spice was spicing.I. Love. Tabitha. Wish we got more of her shenanigans honestly. Can't wait to see where the next book takes us. I have a feeling this isn't the last we'll see of Morgan and Sylvan. And the Council is clearly up to no good. Curious who the next book will follow and if we've met them. Thanks so much to the Smuthood and Clio for the ARC!

⭐ ARC Review ⭐⭐ 4.75 StarsI absolutely devoured this book.Moon Bite delivered everything I personally love in a paranormal romance: forced proximity, gothic small-town vibes, emotional tension, supernatural politics, and a protective alpha MMC that was completely obsessed with the FMC.Morgan and Sylvan had such addictive chemistry from the very beginning. Morgan is carrying years of insecurity and emotional pain, while Sylvan is grumpy, emotionally guarded, and fiercely protective in the most intense way possible. Their relationship slowly develops into something incredibly emotional underneath all the tension, and I loved watching them become each other’s safe place.Sylvan especially completely stole the show for me. He’s possessive, protective, emotionally damaged, and secretly soft in a way that made every interaction between them so good. The caretaking moments, the tension, the banter, and the emotional vulnerability balanced so well together.I also really loved the atmosphere of this book. The gothic manor setting, supernatural worldbuilding, pack dynamics, curses, and small-town setting created such an immersive vibe without overwhelming the romance. The pacing made this ridiculously bingeable, and while I personally wished there had been a little more emotional buildup between some scenes, I still flew through this book incredibly fast.If you love:♡protective alpha MMCs♡forced proximity♡fated mates♡emotional hurt/comfort♡gothic paranormal romance♡touch her and die energy♡emotionally wounded characters♡supernatural romance with tension and spice..then this is the book for you. I'm genuinely so surprised I haven't come across a Clio Evans book before. She will definitely be on my go-to authors list.
