Description
This is the second volume of four that are projected to contain the proceedings from the August 1995 conference, issued both as journals and as books. The aim of the conference was to assess the status and stimulate improvements in the field that deals with decision making when more than one variable is observed. Topics discussed in nine contributions include a new graphical test for multivariate normality, ranking of the best random number generators via entropy-uniformity theory, effect of a shrinkage estimator on the linear discriminant function, tests of trend in a weakly stationary time series, and designing experiments for selecting an exponential population with a large location and a large scale. No index. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
