Description
It all began with good intentions. Eddard Dormin had wanted to help people. Training as a surgeon had been arduous and time consuming, but, being all for the greater good, Eddard had made the necessary sacrifices. His once budding social life had wilted to pleasantries; old friends had become acquaintances; Eddard’s eyes had sunken from lack of rest and over-indulgence in studies, his skin had paled and his voice--once rich with pear shaped tones--had receded to something thin and cracked. Alone and emotionally alienated in 19th century Romania, Eddard begins a search for humanity. But the city of Bistritz hides many twisted roads, and soon Eddard embarks on a journey down dark path he hadn't anticipated. A short story reminiscent of the dark tones of Mary Shelley and Braham Stoker.
