This volume feels quieter, but somehow that makes it more painful. There's so much happening underneath the surface and you can feel the characters slowly drifting away from the lives they thought they wanted. Nana O. especially continues to break my heart. She wants connection so badly but keeps reacting to that fear of abandonment in ways that push people away. It's tragic because you understand exactly why she's doing it.
