View AllIn the fifth volume of Naruto, we step right back into where vol. 4 left off. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are on their way to the Chūnin Exams.<spoiler>I really liked that Kakashi made sure Sakura chose to participate of her own free will and not because of Sasuke. Since they had to participate in teams of three, I thought it was nice that she got to make that decision for herself.</spoiler>This book covers the first phase of the exams, which is a written exam, as well as the start of the second phase. In this volume, we get to know a bit more about some new characters, like Rock Lee and Might Guy. We also meet another participant named Kabuto Yakushi, who gives them advice while also trying to intimidate them.Overall, this volume was an easy read. I enjoyed it and found the storyline interesting. I'm curious to see what happens in the next volume and during the next phase of the exams.
