Reviews

So far, this series is good. Not nearly as bad as other reviews have claimed. But maybe it just suits my taste better. Although, it could also be because it is Graphic Audio but oh well. Now, regarding this book, it's good. It's adorable how Emery keeps sending her magical stones every month because he knows she likes them, also knowing that whenever she gets one of these stones and feels his magic, it keeps her connected to him. I've read a lot of books where the main guy, for one reason or another, believes he is not good enough for the girl he will end up with and expects her to move on from him. All the while, she is patiently waiting for him to catch up to her. It gets kind of annoying after a while.Don't get me wrong, I get where he's coming from but these men continue to think it is their choice whether the woman should be with them and theirs alone. It's obvious they both feel the same way for each other but the guy is just so sure he is right. Thankfully, it doesn't take Emery long to catch up.Following that, that confession came out of nowhere. I was not expecting the first time saying that to happen at that moment of all times. It felt more abrupt than when Darius gave his serious talk and confessed to Reagan.Regardless, now that I am on the third book of this second series, I'm looking forward to how it will end and lead into Charity's story. Considering the title, I am looking forward to seeing Emery and Penny finally becoming a dual-mage pair and kicking ass.
