Description

In a world where everyone seems to belong to different cliques and backgrounds, the journey of a new kid in school highlights the complex dynamics of friendship and acceptance. The protagonist faces the dual challenge of adapting to a new environment while dealing with the pressures of being one of the few students who stands out. With his artistic talents, he hopes to navigate the tricky social landscape, but the path is fraught with obstacles that test his resilience.

This graphic novel masterfully portrays the experience of feeling like an outsider, capturing the nuances of race, identity, and self-discovery in a relatable and engaging way. Through a blend of humor and poignant moments, the story encourages readers to reflect on their own experiences with belonging and the importance of embracing differences. As friendships blossom and challenges arise, the new student's journey becomes a heartfelt exploration of what it truly means to find one's place in a diverse yet often unwelcoming setting.

This is the first time that I actually like listening audiobook. I really like how each character has a different narrator. Also instead of just reading, there are background noise like when the character in cafeteria, house, or even in car, so you know what's happening precisely. The story is light yet touching and funny. Good job for the author and the narrators!
