No Future for Luana

Judge Ephraim Peck was in the audience of the Brooks Stocks Company “tent show” in the small town of Sac Prairie, Wisconsin on the night that Luana Mahaffey, the leading lady of the show, was murdered in her dressing room. His old friends, Jack and Maude Brooks, ask him to solve the murder within four days with as little adverse publicity as possible. Nobody in the Brooks Company liked Luana, and the Judge soon found out that she had a colorful past, which oddly enough, linked her with a local family.
