3.5⭐I'm gonna yap for this one I LOVED THIS. It was short, addicting and touching. Our main characters were charming and fucked up in the head but that is how I like them. The setting was atmospheric and gothic. The mystery was CRAZY and the plot twists got me. The romance was so fun to read about. Liam and Wynn have chemistry and their banter was really good at the beginning. Even though I loved it, I have complaints that prevent me from rating it higher. First, on the back of the book, this is advertised as "enemies-to-lovers". I did nor think that at all. When they meet, they instantly connect. They do show their hatred by hate-fucking and roasting each other but it was clear that they already showed attraction already. I STILL LOVE THEM AND THEIR CONNECTION, I just wished it was advertised correctly. THEIR ROMANCE WAS STILL REALLY GOOD.Second, I wish there was a balance between the romance and the mystery. I felt like one second, we were full in the mystery and the next, we forget about it for some time and then it swoops back in abruptly. Also, even tho I was shocked, I wish the mystery was more fleshed out and more developped. It could have been much bigger. So, for that, I wish the book was longer to properly wrap up things.Finally, Lanston's character. Listen, I love him. However, I did not like the fact that he was in love with her and even both MC's were aware of that. That said, their bond was so strong that I deemed it unecessary for the plot. It was more of an inconvenience, if anything. This led to a weird "love triangle" situation where she already chose and it kinda leaves Lanston in the dust. In the end, the 3 of them are inseparable and went through so much together. Also, the ending was so fast. And the big, big plot twist with Lanston at the end did catch me off guard but I was so confused at the end of whether or not that actually happened. I wish that was clearerI SOUND LIKE I DIDN'T LIKE IT BUT I PROMISE I REALLY DID

This book touched my soul because of how much I relate to it. 😥💔 thankyou so much K.M Moronova for giving us such a beautifully written book I felt less alone after reading this.
