Wow. This anthology was such a riveting read. I listened to the audiobook and definitely thought a different narrator should have been used, but still thoroughly amazed by this work of nonfiction. The amount of research and detail is amazing!! Fong See truly achieved the American dream which is insane to read about in this book. At the same time, I really hated him and the way he treated the women in his life. I also found it strange that Lisa See spoke so highly of family members who were documented as abusive towards other family members. I understand there’s a lot of nuance in this though. Overall, this book was truly amazing and I’m so glad I read it.
