Es el mejor libro de todos, mi favorito, tiene todo lo que me gusta, estoy ansiosa de que salgan los demás
This book took over my every thought, to the point where I even went to bed dreaming about it! This author loves to play with my emotions, switching from one to the other without a moment to recover between. We could start a chapter on a high point but be flung to the depths of despair by the end of it. I read this as a buddy read and for most of the book I didn't stop to leave a comment as it just wasn't possible to stop reading. I loved the banter between the dragons, especially Andarna with her teenage sass. I loved the found family squad support, and the high stakes fighting, both in war and on land. What didn't I like? The loss and death of loved ones, which shocked me to the core. The hostility towards our favourite squad, that got me feeling angry and adding more characters to my most hated list. The biggest part I didn't like though, was knowing that I'd read that shocker of a final chapter and don't even have a release date for book 4! Come on Rebecca!!
Essa é uma série que muita gente falava, sendo que quando li os dois anteriores acabei ficando meio frustrada porque esperava mais em questões de vários motivos diferentes.
Entretanto, Tempestade de Ônix venho para me fazer finalmente gostar dessa série.
A leitura fluiu e tava me prendendo, não achei cansativo.
Comecei a gostar de fato dos personagens secundários porque antes eu não sentia conexão com eles, não fazia falta para mim e não me apeguei.
Porém, nesse livro eu já comecei a me apegar mais aos amigos da Violet e ao esquadrão em geral. Mas vale ressaltar que é muitos personagens nesse grupo e ainda teve uns que na minha cabeça só servia como figurante porque eu não me lembrava de nada sobre eles.
Finalmente também comecei a de fato shippar o casal de protagonista, que são o Xaden e a Violet.
Nos outros livros eu via muitas questões neles que eu não gostava, mas esse livro venho para mudar isso.
Teve uma entrega emocional enorme, eu senti que os dois realmente se amam.
E vale ressaltar sobre o Xaden. Todo mundo falava nesse homem, mas eu não tinha me encantado com ele, porém depois desse livro o crush por ele veio.
O cara tava completamente cadelo pela Violet e eu amo quando o homem é rendido pela garota. O Xaden elogiava e citava a Violet a cada oportunidade que ele tinha, dava para ver que ele realmente faria de tudo por ela e que ela significava bastante para ele. E por causa disso comecei a gostar desse casal.
Também é bom citar o fato de que ele começou a chamar ela de "Amor". E esse é provavelmente o meu apelido carinhoso favorito entre personagens literários.
Sinceramente é um avanço bem melhor do que ele ficar chamando ela de "Violência".
No inglês até combina o "Violence" com o nome dela, que é Violet. Tem uma mesma entonação.
Mas esse apelido traduzido ficou uma merda, odiava quando chamava ela de violência.
Mas enfim, vamos para a parte negativa do livro porque nem tudo são flores.
O livro todo seguiu um enredo na busca de encontrar algo e esse algo não foi encontrado, pelo contrário, a situação só piorou no final. Não gostei disso, passou a impressão de que foi tudo por nada e esse enredo tá indo no caminho da enrolação.
No momento de ação que era para me prender acabou que não me fisgou igual esperava, o caminho que foi seguindo também não me agradou e achei até confuso algumas coisas.
Durante o livro teve algumas reviravoltas boas mas nada muito extravagante. No final esperava plots mais impactantes e não teve. O plot melhor ainda continua sendo o final do primeiro livro.
E eu não curti tanto o final desse.
Na verdade eu tô bem receosa para o próximo livro, já sinto que tem chance de eu não gostar muito e prevejo uma leitura que acharei mais cansativa.
Isso são só achismo. Mas eu creio nisso porque pela forma que terminou esse livro ficou claro que terá um afastamento, e no segundo livro para mim isso não funcionou, na verdade colaborou para deixar maçante.
O livro terminou com pontas soltas para ser respondida no próximo livro. Mas algumas dessas pontas eu nem queria que existisse kkkkkk e já tô com uma preguiça de descobrir o que aconteceu porque acho que não vai ser algo abordado logo de cara no próximo livro.
Resumidamente acredito que não deveria ter mais sequências.
A escritora deveria ter feito uma trilogia para tudo ser resolvido durante esses três e terminar sem prolongar demais. Contudo, parece que vão ser cinco livros, isso se a escritora não quiser acrescentar ainda mais. Sinceramente acho que o enredo com esses vilões já está durante muito e isso facilmente vai ficar cansativo.

I liked seeing even more of the world beyond Basgiath and Aretia and learning more of the different cultures/customs and lore of the gods. However, there were so many places and people (and double signets all of a sudden not being so uncommon?) that it was easy to lose track of all the information. I loved seeing how confident Violet has become, how the love and security in Xaden and Violet’s has strengthened, and how much more we got to see the connection of the squad. I feel like this was the book where the other characters really shone more. This was another fast-paced, action-packed addition to the series… yet somehow nothing was actually accomplished either?? It definitely felt like more of a “filler” for the series. I understand there’s more books to come so not everything is going to be all wrapped up with a pretty bow but I’m left with way more questions than I started with! There were so many things revealed (and vaguely referenced) in the final few chapters, that I’m hopeful Book 4 will blow our minds. It’s soooo long to wait, though! Why does she do this to us?! Ultimately, I LOVED every bit of being back in this world so wading through the confusion of names and places and the frustration of not having any questions answered yet was still 100% worth it. Now give me book 4!

Now that I look back, book 2 could have been much shorter, and book 3 could have followed suit with a more appropriate pace. The plot has become somewhat repetitive, aside from the thread of adventure and travel to islands and exploring places other than Navarre, which was engaging (although the chapters could also be shorter but with a better rhythm), the story hasn't progressed as much as it should have. The series is supposed to be 5 books, and I hope at least the next two books have a better trajectory and, like book 1, the story moves forward well. Chapters with Imogen, Rhiannon, and Xaden's pov were truly beautiful and well-placed; I hope this technique is repeated more in future books. I really, really, really hope that unlike this book, future books focus more on side characters because it was truly a shame that so many interesting characters were given so little attention. And in the end, Let's wait for the next book to be released...

I loved seeing her grow even further, balancing her sharp mind with her fierce determination, but also grappling with the weight of the secrets she carries. And the political tension? Absolutely nail-biting.The world expands beautifully in Onyx Storm, and I was obsessed with the new settings, the deepening lore, and, of course, the dragons (because let’s be real, Tairn and Andarna steal every scene they’re in!!!). The romance? Still electric. The battles? Intense. And the betrayals? Brutal.My only gripe? I need the next book immediately because that cliffhanger left me gasping!!!!!! If you thought Iron Flame ended with a punch, just wait. This was everything I hoped for—fast-paced, emotional, and absolutely unforgettable.

Onyx Storm had plenty of action and an intriguing premise, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The world-building remains strong, and there were some great moments of tension, but the character development felt rushed, and certain plotlines seemed underexplored.The biggest letdown was the abrupt cliffhanger. Rather than feeling like a natural lead-in to the next book, it felt like the story was cut off mid-stream, leaving too many unanswered questions. While I’m still curious about what happens next, this installment didn’t feel as satisfying as it could have.
