View AllI read this book as part of my groups BOM....I'm glad I did.I was reluctant to read this , usually witches are stereotyped and made out to be pure evil etc etc. I found this book not too bad in that aspect.Diana is a witch just trying to be normal and forget she was even a witch. She became a scholar. And studied history. Then she became interested in History. This is when she called up the wrong book. You see this book is very powerful. And has been lost for centuries. A and Diana has the power to find it.I quite enjoyed this book with its fine line of fact and fiction. The author has really done her research. It still doesn't really bridge understanding of the life of wiccans or pagans ( or whatever flavour you are), which is what I thought it would be about ( I didn't realise it was just a story! ). But its a pretty good and enjoyable story
I loved this book but did not 'adore' it. Totally got sucked in though. What I really did enjoy was that it was historically based and it felt like a history lesson. It felt real and genuine.Had a bit of trouble with Diana being independent at first and not so much at the end.Would totally recommend the read.
