King George V decides he must help his one key relative in Russia to escape. In 1918 he had refused asylum to his cousin the Tsar - now the King orders that Serge, the Tsar's illegitimate son, be saved. 'C', the head of the British Secret Service, gives the task to Common Smith VC and the crew of the Swordfish, but 'C' is playing a double game.
